Ashiatsu is an updated, Western version of an ancient form of bodywork: massage using the feet. Its roots can be found in a variety of Eastern healing techniques that stretch back thousands of years. Ashiatsu massages are done on the massage table, with the massage therapist standing above you on the table, holding on to sturdy overhead bars and uses her feet to deliver the massage. Your ashiatsu session will be a blend of footwork and hands on treatment for detail work on the face, neck, hands, and/or feet.

Swedish Massage consists of long, gliding strokes done with the whole hand or the thumb pads, and gently lifting muscles up in a kneading and compressing motion to enhance deeper circulation. Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. Some of the Swedish Massage strokes are used, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain. Available with all therapists. FOUR HANDS MASSAGE
Call 336-270-9118 to schedule
Two therapists work simultaneously during a four hands massage, creating a treatment customized to your particular needs. Your session will typically begin with both therapists working at the same time on the back using Swedish massage strokes, which are long and flowing movements designed to relax the body. The massage continues in this manner; each therapist working one extremity on the opposite side of the body at the same time. If deep tissue work is requested to assist with specific areas of tension (ie, neck pain, etc), one therapist may concentrate on areas requiring more work, while the other continues working in another area. This service is available as a 30 minute session ($60) or a 60 minute session ($120).

Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression. Available with Susan Waff & Ashlee Coley.
